Plate Roller – Chester, PA
  • Perform daily, weekly and Monthly Preventative Maintenance on Plate Roller
  • Roll Shell Plate as needed to keep transfer table full
  • When transfer table is full, Flip plate in Load out area and support moving empty carts to Wheelabrator area
  • Support in loading trucks going out
  • Support unloading plate trucks coming in. (Support Shipping and Receiving in measurements of plates as they are received and staged. Ensure all Stainless Plate is covered when not being used)
  • Clean up around Plate Roller Daily and keep area clean and safe.

  • May be asked to support Spotting/Moving carts from Load Out area or Paint Booth as needed

Maintenance Technician – Chester, PA

Job duties include:

Sales Engineer –  Chester, PA

Sales & Estimating opportunity with an industry-leading storage tank manufacturer. Fisher Tank Company is looking for a motivated individual with engineering background to join our Sales & Estimating Team. The successful candidate will have the technical skills to develop estimates and proposals and the communication skills to develop customer relationships. He or she will possess excellent problem solving skills and the ability to see the big picture while attending to detail. Proficiency in MS office software and the ability to navigate proprietary templates and sales software are required. Presentations, one-on-one sales situations and direct communication with current and potential clients will be part of the job. Sales Engineers must be self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities. Our Sales Engineering team works with  vendors, subcontractors, engineers and project owners, as well as with internal engineering, project management, safety and other team members. Some travel, including regional sales calls and tradeshows will be required.

 

Shipping/Receiving Clerk – Chester, PA

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk receives all materials coming into the fabrication shop and ships all materials to jobsites.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Outgoing truck loads to job site
  • Prepare outgoing materials for shipments, including locating and ensuring that Ready to Ship material(s) are staged in the Shipping and Receiving Area
  • Loading outgoing trucks (with assistance from others, as needed), Confirming all items have been loaded and properly secured on trucks.
  • Send as loaded BOL to Construction Managers, Foreman, Shop Manager, & Ken Jensen after the truck load is completed and BOL is signed by truck driver.
  • Organize and Maintain Shipping and Receiving Area, and Outside Laydown Yard. *Everything must be in crates, OX Box, or up on Cribbing, NO MATERIAL TO TOUCH GROUND*
  • Unload all materials delivered to the shop.
  • Inventory all materials as it is received, this includes writing the Job#, Page#, and Part# on materials. *All crates, OX Boxes, Tubs, etc., are to be opened and parts are to be inventoried and checked against the drawings*
  • All received materials are to be placed in designated locations for each job, ensure that each location is clearly marked/identified.
  • Enter all received materials into Viewpoint.
  • Run Updated Viewpoint Reports weekly, keep tabs on material that is due and has not been delivered/received. All items that are past due, email Dave Conley to follow up on status and expected delivery.
  • Maintain proper levels of cribbing and dunnage to support incoming and outgoing shipments. *Keep track of wood for dunnage*

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain trucks and trailers inspections, keep white board in Shop office with Trailer #’s and inspection due dates up to date.
  • Call for dumpsters to get emptied, as needed.
  • End of day walkdown, to ensure shop doors are closed and secured, and all lights turned off.

Safety Manager – Leesville, SC

Role Description

The Safety Manager is a full-time, on-site position located in Leesville, SC. This role is responsible for implementing and managing safety programs, conducting safety training sessions, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards. The Safety Manager will oversee occupational health measures, lead accident investigations, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and improve workplace safety. Construction Department Administrative Assistant – Leesville, SC

The Construction Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Construction Department. This role ensures efficient coordination between field teams, vendors, and management while maintaining accurate documentation and inventory records.

Project Support

  • Prepare and distribute field documents and project drawings to Foremen.
  • Coordinate vendors and suppliers for job-related needs (fuel, sanitation, dumpsters, welding supplies, rental equipment, etc.).
  • Submit required project documentation to the Union (e.g., NTD sheets).
  • Process new hire paperwork and forward to payroll.
  • Maintain and update drawings; issue revisions promptly.

 

Inventory Management

  • Collect and record weekly inventory from South Carolina and Chester maintenance shops.
  • Update equipment changes and invoices in Viewpoint.
  • Conduct biweekly job inventory and report updates to billing.
  • Maintain registration and insurance records for South Carolina.
  • Issue annual insurance cards to Foremen.
  • Perform year-end inventory beginning in October and report to the department manager.

 

Administrative Duties

  • Log and scan field folders; forward to the Construction Manager.
  • Scan and archive job receipts and X-ray reports; route to QA/QC Manager.
  • Update union records annually.
  • Organize biannual Foremen meetings, including venue, lodging, meals, travel, and activities.
  • Manage and resolve invoice issues.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Construction Department.

 

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web-based platforms; comfortable with email, texting, and scanning.

Traveling Field Painter US Jobsites
Fisher Tank Company operates a Coatings Division that provides expert field painting services for field erected welded steel storage tanks as well as for other industrial applications. Our Coatings Division team works across the country in a variety of facilities.
Job Duties
  • Maintaining and repairing industrial paint and sand blasting equipment (generators, paint sprayers, blast pots, air compressors, etc.)
  • Surface preparation for coatings
  • Painting surfaces using various tools and equipment including brushes, rollers, spray guns
  • Rigging platforms on tanks or other structures to be painted
  • Performing regular housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized jobsite and job trailer
  • Communicating with foreman regularly regarding tasks and procedures
  • Working safely according to Fisher Tank Company Safety Program
Requirements
  • Travel to jobsites across the country is required
  • Effective communication within the Coatings Division as well as other areas of the company is essential

Job Summary 

Fisher Tank Inc. is seeking a Licensed Engineer to join its on-site engineering and CAD team in Leesville, SC. Perfectly located in the Midlands of South Carolina; 1.5 hours to the Blue Ridge Mountains and 1.5 hours to the white sand beaches of Charleston, SC; a world class city. This position is responsible for the structural design, analysis, and documentation of welded steel storage tanks used in municipal and industrial applications. The ideal candidate has a strong civil or structural engineering foundation, the ability to work within established industry codes, and an interest in developing specialized expertise in steel tank design.

This is an on-site position requiring daily collaboration with engineering, fabrication, and CAD personnel.  * For the right candidate an alternative work site may be considered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Perform structural engineering analysis and design for welded plate structures and their foundations.
  • Apply applicable industry codes and standards including AWWA, ASME, API, AISC, ACI, AWS and NFPA requirements. 
  • Prepare engineering calculations, design reports, and support documentation. 
  • Develop and review technical drawings in coordination with CAD designers. 
  • Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable. 
  • Review project specifications and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. 
  • Support design revisions, engineering clarifications, and technical problem-solving during fabrication. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes, design efficiency, and standardization. 
  • Maintain accurate and organized engineering records and files. 

 

Qualifications 

Required Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline. 
  • Licensed Civil or Mechanical Engineer (Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, Structural Engineer (SE) a plus). If not currently licensed, the expectation would be to obtain licensure as soon as practical.
  • Strong understanding of civil and/or structural engineering principles. 
  • Ability to work on-site daily in Leesville, SC, but for the right candidate remote worksite options may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Seven (7+) or more years of engineering experience (eligible for higher compensation range with more experience, particularly in above ground storage tank, elevated water tank, and pressure vessel design). 
  • Experience with steel structures, storage tanks, and/or industrial/manufacturing design. 
  • Experience with foundation design for steel plate structures, ground storage tanks, and concrete pedestal design for elevated water tanks.
  • Familiarity with welded steel tank systems and appurtenances.
  • Experience working within regulated engineering codes and standards. 
  • Proficiency in the design and detailing of welded steel storage tanks and their appurtenances per API 650 and AWWA D-100.
  • Proficiency in the design and detailing of the repair of welded steel storage tanks and their appurtenances per API 653.
  • Proficiency in the design, detailing of composite elevated water tanks, welded steel elevated water tanks, and their appurtenances.

Skills and Competencies 

  • Proficiency with engineering and design software, including: 
  • AutoCAD
  • Autodesk Inventor (programming experience a plus) 
  • STAAD / ANSYS or other FEA
  • Microsoft Excel 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reasoning skills. 
  • Ability to interpret engineering codes, drawings, and specifications. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based engineering environment.

Work Environment 

This position operates in a professional office and engineering design environment with regular interaction with fabrication and production operations. Conditions may include:
